We are excited to announce the very first Prize Draw that Rainbow Chorus is running as part of the celebrations to mark our 21st birthday this year! Every pound you spend on tickets will go directly to the Rainbow Chorus and support everything we do, from running our concerts and keeping our concession rate as low as possible as well as supporting free tickets to those in financial difficulty, to covering running costs such as music rights. We are very lucky to have some fantastic prizes donated by wonderful individuals and companies, including a hotel room in Malta, a photography package and a memory bear.

    Ubyk in Brighton is offering one Basic Service on a bicycle free of charge, which amounts to one hour of labour that is free of charge. This offer can be claimed on its own, in the case of a service which falls within one hour and requires no replacement parts to be supplied by Ubyk. It can also be claimed within the context of a more extensive job, for instance where replacement parts are required and/or where the total labour time exceeds one hour. About the Prizes

All prizes have been donated and details of donors are included in the information about the Prizes. More detailed information about the Prizes and any terms and conditions associated with them that are additional to those included here, will be provided by the organisation, company or individual donating the prize on production of the Prize Voucher that will be given to holders of winning tickets when these have been drawn.

Prizes, combined with any expenses, will not exceed 80% of the total proceeds of the draw. Donated prizes do not count towards this 80% limit and will be declared on the return following the draw.

In accordance with section 175 of the Licensing Act 2003 minor raffles and tombola involving prizes of alcohol are not licensable under the 2003 Act if certain conditions are fulfilled.

Details of the Grand Prize Draw

The Grand Prize Draw will commence on 9th April 2018 and tickets will be available to purchase from that date.

The closing date for purchase of tickets will be 16th June 2018. To be included in the draw, all ticket stubs must be returned by 29th June 2018.

The Draw will take place on 30th June 2018.

Prizes will be drawn in the order shown in the random list published on this webpage and winning tickets will be matched against their respective prize in the order that they are drawn.

Ten Grand Prize Draw tickets will be drawn randomly.

Please keep the ticket as proof of purchase.

The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

How and when winners will be notified:

A list of winning ticket numbers and their associated prizes will be published on 7th July 2018 on our webpage: or this information will be available by calling 07471 732531 from 7th July 2018.

Holders of winning tickets will be contacted directly by the post, email or telephone contact details they have provided by 7th July 2018.

There are no cash alternatives to the prizes shown. Should the prize not be accepted a further ticket will be drawn and the prize offered to that person.

Rainbow Chorus accepts no responsibility for Draw tickets which are illegible, or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified. Contact details for the person purchasing the ticket must be written legibly on the ticket stub.

Where the Rainbow Chorus is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for two months following the first attempt to notify the prize-winner, a further ticket will be drawn and the prize offered to that person.

No-one associated with the Rainbow Chorus who has been involved in setting up or running the Grand Prize Draw, or their partners / spouses are eligible to purchase tickets for the Draw.

Ticket information:

  • Tickets can only be sold by or to persons over the age of 16. If it is identified that a ticket has been sold unknowingly to a person under the age of 16 they will be excluded from the Grand Prize Draw and their payment will be returned.
  • All tickets cost £2 each (a book of 5 tickets costs £10).
  • Payment for Draw tickets can be made by cash or by contacting us via email to: (this will involve a PayPal payment via our website to pay for your Draw tickets, which will then be posted to you).
  • The Rainbow Chorus must take payment for the ticket fee before entry to the draw is allowed.
  • Tickets will not be sold in a street, but may be sold from a kiosk, in a shop or door-to-door.

Details about the Promoter & Registration of the Grand Prize Draw:

The Rainbow Chorus, Registered Charity No. 1161330 is the promoting society and has registered its application, and has been granted, an Operating License to run this Grand Prize Draw by the Health and Safety and Licensing Department of Brighton & Hove City Council under the requirements of the Gambling Act 2005 (Small Societies Lottery Registration).

The purpose for which the Rainbow Chorus is established and is conducted is as follows:

a) To advance public education in, and appreciation of, the art of choral singing, its study, practice and performance, and to contribute to the quality and range of community events and to assist other charitable causes.

(b) To promote social inclusion for the public benefit of people who are socially excluded on the grounds of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This will be achieved by relieving the isolation and needs of those people.

(c) To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity, in particular but not exclusively by raising public awareness of discrimination towards and issues affecting the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT) community, and in such other ways as are exclusively charitable as the Trustees may from time to time determine.
