The chorus will be singing at Trans*Pride Brighton on the 25th of July. Last year’s event was a huge success and this year there will be a weekend of films, celebrations and events across the city from 25/07 to 27/07. More information can be found at Trans*Pride
In July 2015 Ireland passed a law allowing transgender individuals to change legal gender based on self-identification alone, without medical or state intervention. There are only four other countries in the world with laws allowing transgender individuals over the age of 18 to freely self-identify legal gender which is a basic human right. The other countries are Argentina, Colombia, Denmark and Malta. Restrictions on legal gender recognition exist everywhere else and those below the age of 18 are still excluded from all legislation.
